Friends to Be: The Soft Launch

A little over two months ago on a cold January night, I hosted my soft launch event for Friends to Be, gathered at a candlelit dinner table with 6 special people. It was a night of laughter (with some embarrassing stories that shall not be named haha), contemplations and a phyiscal testamenent of sisterhood.
As I looked around the table with warm lights reflecting on their faces, I knew- I was sitting in front of an answered prayer.

The night began with welcomes, prayer cards and a kickoff with a card that I picked from my conversation deck for the evening:
"As we often hear the motto "do it scared", what is something that you want to do this year that maybe you've been hesitant to do and are finally deciding do it? And, let this be your challenge, when you saw it to all of us- I want you to keep us updated on when you finally do it!"
Some responded with tears about wanting to become better in their profession, others with uncertainty of chasing their dreams, but persisting with faith, and great wisdom that I will definitely be taking with me.

Words won't cover the full gratitude of what was shared and experienced. And, this: this is what I want other people to experience; to know that they don't have to do life alone.
There was a point in my. 20's where I was surrounded by others but felt loneliner than ever. And, I cried out to the Lord for friendship, yet recieved such a simple answer: "well, go out and make them!". Funnily enough, those connections I was looking for were right in front of me. Some people I'd grown up with and some all the way from across the country.
I say this to say: take the leap of faith in starting new chapters and making fruitful connections. You matter! <3
